Ponad tradycyjnym bitem snuje się kilka wielce udanych motywów, m.in. rozkosznie oblewające, zielonkawo-żółtawe, acidowe salwy. Na drugim planie zastajemy wyjącego cyberpunkowego kojota w ustępie krwistego kanionu Północnej Ameryki. Tło tworzy halowy reverb, ponadto z mikstury tej uchodzą bąbelki.
'Smoke from Burning Fields' to kolejny element dobrze zgranej, paraliżującej całości, utwory są bliźniaczo podobne do siebie, opary gotowane ze smoły, jak gdyby rwąca rzeka Amazonka i jej wciągające bagna w parnym, intensywnym, przedburzowym klimacie w akompaniamencie zawodzenia głodnej jaszczurki.
We ' Freezing Process" na naszych uszach rozrywa lodowe kry, rozdzielając arktyczną faunę.
Polecam fanom esencjonalnego, bezprecedensowego techno. Beznamiętny człowiek-produkt i bożek techno - Mike Parker nie popełnia błędów. Ten EP to mgnienie, w którym krzepnie czas i rozpływa się wszechobecne bycie.

note: "Werk Discs manager Darren Cunningham, AKA Actress, will release his second album this May on Honest Jon's Records.
Cunningham has been an active member of the UK's underground music scene since the turn of the millennium, both as an artist and a label head. He cut his teeth DJing alongside Kode9 at Hyperdub's early club nights, then released his first record as Actress in 2004. That same year, Cunningham launched his record label, Werk Discs, which pressed early 12-inches by Starkey and Radioclit as well as Zomby's first full-length. In 2008, after four years of silence, Cunningham released Hazyville, a stark and enigmatic debut album whose title perfectly suits its general aesthetic. On record, Cunningham's sound is murky, rough-edged, and unpredictable–a style he describes as black world wizardry and that's earned him comparisons to Theo Parrish, Newworldaquarium and Anthony 'Shake' Shakir.
According to Cunningham, Splazsh will be more stylistically diverse than his debut album. "Hazyville was heavily locked into a certain mood aesthetic," he said in an interview with Resident Advisor. "[Splazsh] is not a concentrated sound working from the same palette. It's blocky and dispersively fragmented." The new record will be available on vinyl and CD as well as via digital download. note: "Following from his gorgeous 12" for Styrax last year, Roof Light dazzles again with a deadly plate for L2S. As the title suggests, 'Street Level' takes us down from the lofty highs of that 12" and onto the floor, edging his sound with a tighter sense of funk and flex directly influenced by garage masters Todd Edwards, MJ Cole or Dem 2. On the title track, clipped diva vox skip between irresistibly sync'ed 2-step patterns while elegant Detroit pads cleanse the soul. Meanwhile with 'How Far Are You From Anywhere' he dips his jazz stick in with blue horns and twinkling percussion smudged with an authentic late night sensuality that's melting us right now. With MJ Cole singing his praises and a forthcoming album for Highpoint Lowlife, expect to hear a lot more from this guy in the near future..."
note: "Mark E’s production is very groove based a slow burn if you will, its definitely for fans of Pilooski, Studio, Marvin Gaye, or Moodymann. This music for a dance floor that’s in it for the long haul and not looking to tire themselves out at some club. You might notice his edits touch on slow house and disco and classic soul, nothing in your face, to be honest I could put a song on repeat and have it going for 40 minutes+ and just keep trekkin’ along my work day completely enjoying doing anything while every once in a while dance in my chair." - ISO50.
note: "French based label, Sharivari Records is a new vinyl and digital imprint run by Olivier Mutschler, focusing on a large variety of electronic music, from minimal techno to soulfull house, broken beat or Detroit influenced deep techno.
The first release is coming from Jeremy Carrasco and Johan Speissegger, aka Prime Time, parisian duo who has recently collaborated with Oxia on Goodlife Records.
On the A side, "Vers là" is an inspired patchwork of minimal sounds and jazz skills, starting with some blue and moody piano keys, quickly looped to create a groovy and percussive deep techno track. B side includes "Jeudi Noir", a dark and long build-up intensified by a haunting saxophon and strong percussions, and, at last but not least, "Vers là" remixed by Arthur Pochon, aka Art Bleek, well known for his works on Rush Hour, Loungin'Recordings, Resopal or Connaisseur. Mr. Bleek gives us here a funky and deep re-interpretation of the original track, with dynamic strings that could come directly from the motor city.

note: "The Ramp related Brain Math label follow up the massive Digital Flora ten inch from Zomby with this limited tae f*ck single sider from the mysterious Spiders. Fans of the dark and rhythmic looseness of Shackleton and Mordant Music will love this. "
note: "The much in demand collaboration between LV & Untold finally hits wax, backed with a stunning Mount Kimbie remix. Possibly the most minimal tune to date by either artist, "Beacon" rolls on a bare bones set-up of deep swung bass, barely-there percussion and simple bleep-track melody. In the true spirit of the original dubstep pioneers, making very little sound very BIG. On the flip Mount Kimbie deliver a stunning remix. Layering a heap of their trademark melody onto the intro, following that with an instantly memorable rave hook, then easing us out gently with some sweeeet R&B inflected chopped vocals. Stunning stuff. Big support across the board by Mary Anne Hobbs, Ben UFO, Ramadanman, Gilles Peterson, Brackles & Shortstuff , Rob Da Bank and more."

Homewreckers - Johannes Ehmann, Gregor Pottmeier & Krischan Jan-Eric Wesenberg
note: "The Not My Business EP perfectly shows how the Homewreckers flow on these two original tracks. You feel the funk, you feel Detroit and you feel a deep and unique sense of music. Cherry on the cake, you got a remix from San Francisco based artist Dave Aju who is back on the label after his much acclaimed album Open Wide released in 2008. Not My Business isn’t their first shoot on the label as they were already part of last months Snuggle & Slap Circus Company compilation with a brilliant ” Live-Version ” of Chicago Urban Blues."

note: "Brand new release from possibly the coolest label around at the moment. Nicolas Jaar pops his Wolf + Lamb wax cherry (not counting Seth's remix of his on "Aphrika EP") with a solid double header of an ep. On the a-side "A Time For Us" combines the best of nu-disco & house for a laidback but bass-heavy jam, whilst on the flip "Mi Mujer" fuses deep house, boogie and americana in a singularly american way."

producer - Paul Rose
note: "Originally from London, he has been at the forefront of the new popularity of this music in Berlin and his DJ sets at each of the parties have provided some of the highlights of series to date. He was therefore an obvious choice for this mix, which across 24 tracks paints a sonic picture of his musical self and that of SUB:STANCE, performed as at the party itself using turntables and a mixer. Including many tracks from artists who have played the party themselves, including Shackleton, Ramadanman and Mala amongst others, the mix takes in all the sonic influences and stylistic techniques that have made Scuba sets at SUB:STANCE special. From the laidback cool of Pangaea, through Surgeon's barely-controlled aggression to Mala's deep meditation, the mix is a true representation of what these parties mean. The mix also features 4 previously unheard tracks from Scuba himself as well as many more exclusive tracks and edits. Scuba is the production and DJ alias of Paul Rose, curator of Hotflush Recordings, one of the original dubstep labels which released some of the most important tracks of the genre's formative period and continues to be a source of constant originality to date."
