Me{ga}loman.

Nadane z góry przepierzenie koloru zwęglonego drwa, intensywna jego iluminacja cienia, eliminująca wszelką jasność,
podmiot przepełniony otchłanią sprzeczności, ambiwalencji wszelakiej,
wielce rozczarowany przedmiotem życia, pozbawiony wyboru, scieżki,
na drodze bez znaków, swym kruczoczarnym blaskiem rozświetlający przestrzeń bez kierunkowskazów,
oczarowani jego sztucznym taktem niezdający sobie sprawy z jego smutnej historii,
zna jedynie miarowe bębnienie wulgaryzmow, hipokrytyczna zjawa taktu 4/4 i fałszujacej nuty,
wyszukany odmieniec, płotka w świecie schematow, intensywnie pochłoniety analizą, uniknąwszy angażu,
na ulicach wokol jego squatu bląkające się bezpańskie, wychudzone psy mieszańce,
wariat w osnowie absolutnej izolacji, społeczny karzeł, eremita, lecz wybitny unikat sam w sobie, me{ga}loman w halucynacyjnym brudzie, nieobmywany przeźroczami deszczu, bo od roku w zakładzie,
wyobrazić sobie jego klęskę to wyzwanie,
dane jedynie podziwiać poprzez puste teorie jego przedmiot, spękaną czaszę na troje,
zastygnięty rój.

experimental dub techno

Mastered by the same label which mastered Skalpel, Hexstatic. W gęstej otulinie nieumytego brzmienia low-fidelity ponownie rozkoszuję się dźwiękami sonicznie niedalekiego kuzyna Ursuli Bogner - Artura Śleziaka. Magnetofon podświetla kasetę konstruując erotyczny efekt. Sięgam rękoma po zrodzone z zamiłowania minimalem, wywijające wraz z dubem laboratoryjne eksperymenty. Głowa Villalobosa po transplantacji czarnej skóry zanurzona w formalinie. Głowa do wycierania śladów palców z szyb miejskiej dżungli.

Duy Gebord - Kelp

Another connection can then be made to Kelp, which continues the watery theme.  Duy Gebord’s work isn’t typical ocean or beach fare; it’s thick and troubled, cluttered with sonic debris.  Listening is a lot like swimming through kelp.  Tendrils constrict the arms and legs.  Panic ensues.  The pretty cover hides the fact that the work “echoes a story of an imaginary sea garbage patch (that) travels through cold seeps, encounters ghost snails and green anemones (and) mixes kelps with magnetic tape”.  The artist’s lovely description is matched by intricate sonics.  “Suncup” offers cars, conversation and carnivorous electronics, while “Diopside” is nearly industrial, filled with peeps and clanks.  Water floods the far side of the song, submerging small surges of melody.
More sea and brine continues to enter throughout the cassette, until the entire tape is waterlogged.  Little noises float on this sonic ocean: meows, cymbal taps, flips and ejections of the cassette itself.  A richness of sound is crushed into a floating entity, reflecting its subject matter.  We begin to cheer for this mass of garbage as it continues its journey.  The only irony is that the collection makes one eager to make more garbage, not less, and to throw it into the sea.  That’s the power of a great recording: it leads one to unexpected thoughts and desires.  As for the tape itself, as well as the Nienartowicz / Wolski split: no one is going to toss these.  They are buoys on a turbulent sea.  (Richard Allen)

note: "Tools is the latest creation from Italian experimentalist Giuseppe Ielasi. While Ielasi’s work over the years as a guitarist and drone artist has become highly regarded…

his work on 2009’s Aix (12k1051) completely broke that mold, turned heads, and quickly became one of his most critically acclaimed releases. The fractured, almost jazz-like rhythms pieced together from sampled fragments that graced Aix has been taken one step further in concept with Tools.

Created as singular studies into the physicality of everyday objects, each track on Tools, named for the object from which it was made (“Cooking Pan,” “Rubber Band,” “Paper Lamp”), is a wonderfully playful trip into new ways of listening and experiencing our everyday.

With a title such as Tools, Ielasi has set no preconceptions or metaphors with his music except for the idea to make an experimental (and somewhat ironic) play on the traditional “DJ-tools” type of record that contains buiding blocks to allow a DJ to layer and combine with other records. In Ielasi’s case, however, the twist is in the fact that these tracks, despite being simple and stark, are complex, captivating structures and explorations of physical objects, composed in a way that is becoming signature Ielasi, that becomes perfect experimental music for hazy summertime listening. – 12k"

note: "Markus Popp's first "Oval" release after almost a decade of silence is a spectacular departure from the deconstructivist electronica that made him a laptop legend. Instead, and totally out of nowhere, the 15-track "Oh" EP establishes Popp as an accomplished musician, who is delivering a glimpse of his very own exciting flavor of "free" music in the best sense of the word.
The most important paradigm for the new sound was that everything should be done the exact opposite way from how it was done in the past.  Popp exclusively used (cheap) commercially available software and plug-ins instead of programming his own.  He utilized one (four years old at that) $500 stock PC instead of several high-end Macs.  All the virtual instruments are played with his own hands.  And last but certainly not least, scales, harmonics, and melody are the foundation of this music instead of theory and meta-discourse." - brainwashed.

Filippo Paolini & Maurizio Martusciello

note: "Metaxu is a new project by Filippo Paolini and Maurizio Martusciello. This Italian duo have made important political statements on their rumors of war release. This album features tracks examining the thin line that exists between war & peace. Through their compositions it is evident that they have concerned themselves with pivotal moments of recent World History....especially the times when History itself seemed to end all at once. They examine chaos and violence through tones, loops, microtones and strangely composed drones and arranged keyboard lines. They examine the many tragedies of the world including those that have happened at Hiroshima, New York City and Sarajevo. These tracks are drenched with hints of darkness, pain and hope. The quietly interwoven clips of news and other spoken word statements scattered around the tracks makes it even more intense.

As a whole this CD is a relaxing yet challenging listen. The track titles are clearly pointing out the meanings behind the music, directing your attentions to events that we should be clearly remembering in the world. The music can be easily played in a set with Jeremy Boyle, Takagi Masakatsu, Tetsue Innoue and newer pieces by Donnachea Costello." - Anne Sulikowski; Dec 15, 2003.
