Ekstremalnie cierpliwy rzemieślnik i znakomity artysta proponuje długą opowieść o wielce kompleksowej i pomysłowej budowie.
Połączenie kultury i dokładności z kilkoma popisami.
Ciało i ducha stabilizuje Jetone z płytki Autumnmonia, fizykomaterialny zbitek brzmień jesieni zmuszających do refleksji, zalanych atmosferyczną głębią. To przypomina trochę dub od Purl, aczkolwiek jest znacznie bardziej kameralne. Doglądane przez Tima Heckera zroszone pajęcze sieci pobrzdękują uwznioślając niedzielny chill-out.

note: I made this boring [lots of fly and fun during mixing I terribly like it], experimental mix for szczecin.fm radio 2 months ago & I'm still waiting for the show, I'm patient but my mixcloud appears to be neglected.
About quality, I don't mind to do some kind of low-fi effect but it sounds in this way & rerender of the project isn't possible :)
w tej serii będę dumnie wypinać pierś próbując subtelnie zasugerować kilka wydawnictw z mijającego preludium sezonu ogórkowego, kto zechce, ten znajdzie, oto i one:
Druga część sandwell district wydaje się znacznie ciekawsza od poprzedniczki, z której [SDLTD2], z czystym sumieniem mogę polecić kawałek artysty Silent Servant.
Iron Curtis & Leaves, Mahone, Nick Lawson, Sai - All Night Long Part I [16 july 2010, Morris Audio, MACE 051, 12"]
tech-house, deep house
!
Kolejna rewelacyjna epka z Morris Audio, artyści rozmarzonej nuty, niepozbawionej głębokiego basu. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje kawałek Mahone.
note: młody brytyjski producent proponuje odskocznię od podkręconych, spitchowanych garage'owych produkcji.
Wyekstrahowany niepokój z BoC, zaznajomiona z zapisem nutowym Ikonika, Onra z ptaszkami na ramionach, beczkowerble Buriala i skradzionykosmos Actressa - niezły bigos, świetna produkcja. 'Taro' zamknie usta każdemu niedowiarkowi.
note: Adding a percussive and experimental edge to the current class of post-dubstep pioneers, Mount Kimbie, the duo of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos – are set to release their highly anticipated debut album ‘Crooks & Lovers’ on Scuba’s Hotflush label in July.
Mount Kimbie’s first two EPs – ‘Maybes’ and ‘Sketch On Glass’ – seemed like explorations of spaces so private that all within earshot were instantly turned into voyeurs. The experience was less like listening to music and more like eavesdropping on the machinations of a lone mind – albeit a lone mind surrounded by and retreating from millions of other minds.
Difficult to categorise, the lush EPs caused a commotion when released last year with ‘Sketch On Glass’ recently undergoing reworks from the likes of Falty DL, SCB (Scuba’s darker techno alias) and their sometime collaborator James Blake. With their own remixes (Foals and The xx) becoming hot property, Mount Kimbie have been a core part of the growing scene in London often associated with labels like Hyperdub and Hessle Audio.
Dom and Kai met whilst at Southbank University, pushed together in a student halls that was previously a mental asylum – where the ceilings were still ridiculously high to stop patients hanging themselves: “a cold, joyless, concrete building – the sort of building where you’d drop a pen and the sound would just go on and on in an echo.”
Armed with found sound snips and a siege mentality, Kai and Dom set about turning London’s ambience into rhythm, its chaos into coherence. Traces of influence remain – the hard-earned spaces of Burial and The Bug vie with the berserk melodrama of Xiu Xiu and Grouper’s sad-eyed glow, D’Angelo’s pervert soul gets cleansed in the intimacy of Phil Elvrum’s Microphones, Angelo Badalamenti’s swollen ‘Twin Peaks’ atmospheres find a cradle in Madlib’s lax lope.
The band’s sound and response to the dubstep moment is very much their own. Sceneless and untethered from etiquette and genre codes, ‘Crooks & Lovers’ floats through dubstep and hip-hop, jazz, techno and ambient, post-rock, UK garage and film scores to startling effect." -ST Holdings.

note: "If delays hadn't postponed the release of this latest Pulshar single until now, it would have marked 2009 as a nearly perfect musical year for Pablo Bolivar. With his excellent sophomore album Recall on Regular, a mix for the revitalised Galaktika label plus a handful of solid singles, the return of his Pulshar project was almost the icing on the cake.
The new track, "Sacrifice of Love," from the Barcelona-based duo continues on from where the Brotherhood compilation left off, only here everything has a brighter air of pop sweetness to it. Sergio Aphro's vocal is breathy and comforting, whereas Bolivar opts for softer, almost cooing, synths. The dub elements may also be subtle, but they still cast a warm shadow beneath the shiny façade.
Pulshar normally brings out the best in their remixers, though Even Tuell's mix is somewhat disappointing. The staccato loops of vocals and prismatic beats get burned out looking for something more, like a bass run or a continuous melodic element, to gel everything together and break the inertia. However, Deeps Edayar and Sistema's previously unreleased takes on "Mantistyle" more than make up the difference. Edayar's remix is sonorous and seductive deep house with a well worked dub techno growl at its core to add a gruff streak. Sistema's intriguing mix is from another world altogether, blending a big '80s electro drum sound, acid synth pads and melodic licks." - Chris Mann, RA.
note: "Active since 1995 as a live performer and producer of experimental electronic dance music, Bjørn Svin has released several albums and 12"s as well as music for films and theatre. In the late nineties he became a "techno pop-star" with the hit “Mer Strøm 2” and reached cult-status in most of Scandinavia. His new album BROWEN will be released on March by Danish Rump Recordings and it shows a different side of Bjørn as composer. The twelve tracks of the album take inspiration from the rhythmic richness of techno/i.d.m. music but add to the mix an experimental attitude. If tracks like "ROwmOR" or "mPmWree" show still traces of techno structures, others like the opening "Browen" or the following "bowbroW" are more experimental oriented thanks to an evolving flow of metallic sounds that form little melodic/rhythmic loops. Minimal tiny melodies change their sound from dissonant to melodic and clashes with other hundreds forming a constant flow of sound. Techno, dub (check the opening part of "mOmWree"), i.d.m., experimental influences blend very well giving to the listener an interesting and wide sound spectrum to explore." - noisebrigade.

note: "Okapi is Filippo Paolini, an Italian turntablist and sample cutup artist. Filippo has recorded as one half of the duo Metaxu (with Maurizio Martusciello) and also the trio Dogon, and he's performed on RAI (Italian state radio) and collaborated with noted avant-turntablist Christian Marclay.
Okapi uses his turntables and computer to create music completely outside of the hip-hop school of chopped up music.Instead he has created some albums that veers from orchestral to lounge to quirky experimental music, while maintaining a delicate and spacious sound throughout. His skill at sample manipulation is really quite amazing. In his live-set Okapi mix techno / broken beat / electro / 8-bit with melodies including klezmer, polk, childrens' music, idiot-pop,hawaian music."
"On Love Him, Italian turntablist and sampling artist, Økapi (Filippo Paolini), masterfully conducts a plundered symphony of more than 100 elements to celebrate the notorious Kyrgyz composer Aldo Kapi (1896-1952). Somewhere in between record digging, electro-acoustic tomfoolerly and slot-machine soundcards, lies the break-NOT-core, bubble-gum experimentalism of this new full-length from Italy's own "Daft Giraffe.""
